Beryllium Borate, 5BeO.B₂O₃

Kruss and Moraht described a borate, 5BeO.B₂O₃, resembling beryllia in appearance, which they prepared by precipitating beryllium chloride with borax, or by neutralising it in presence of much boric acid with sodium carbonate. It is probably a solid solution of boric acid in beryllium hydroxide.
